Inside Biko's New Head Office

Cipete has always been a special place for us. Back in 2012 when the team was still around 10 people, our Head Office (or as we like to call it HO) was where BIKO slowly began to grow. The building has seen all: ideas turn into events and promotions you’ve come to enjoy, colleagues become close friends, and people come and go (figuratively and literally). At one point, we knew it was time for a full revamp, and this year it finally happened.

During the process, we temporarily moved to a nearby space (still within Cipete, of course) and continued our day-to-day while construction was underway. The project was led by Jimny, a longtime member of our Legal team who has been with BIKO for 15 years. As a Project Manager, he worked closely with our friends at Bitte Design Studio to shape a workspace that feels more comfortable for all of us.

“I see this office as more than just a space to work. It shows how much we’ve grown as a team, and hopefully, it helps us go even further with everything we do.” — Jimny

The difference was something we felt right away—the one-floor office is now a four-story building that stands proudly among its surroundings. Thick walls that once separated rooms have been opened up, letting in natural light through glass panels. The fish pond. The square spiral staircase. Everything feels more open, more space to breathe.

The lobby welcomes you with a calm and warm atmosphere before leading up to the second floor, where the Human Resources, Legal, and Finance teams are based. Up on the third floor like a cherry on top, sits the rest of the team. Marketing, Creative, and Media & Communication teams now share a desk setup around a central meeting room, naturally becoming a space for discussions, brainstorming, and everything in between.

Right next to it is a spacious chill-out area. If you’ve ever been to Beer Hall or remember the early days of Beer Garden, some of the tables and chairs might look familiar—and that’s intentional. We wanted to bring a small piece of our outlets into the office, creating a space where the team can unwind and enjoy the view, just like the vibe we’ve always shared with our customers.

We carried the same idea into the cafeteria. The chairs come from Pippo Italian’s outdoor seating, the green sofa from Beer Garden+, and the tables from Fūjin Izakaya. Instead of building something overly formal, we chose to keep it playful as it’s something that feels closer to who we are. That’s why this space has easily become a place to gather. The first time we used it was for bukber, right as the building was completed during Ramadan, just a few days before Eid holiday. It felt like a simple housewarming with all of the division enjoying the evening as a team.

As we looked around, it was hard not to think about how far we’ve come. This building stands on everything that came before it. We even still keep the memorabilia from our early days: the very first cash earned at Beer Garden, the milestones and recognitions along the way, and many more moments that shaped who we are today. And now, this refreshed space becomes part of that story too.
